Nephrology is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract. Nephrologist deals not only with the treatment of kidney diseases but also with diseases that affect the kidneys. Such examples are diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and cancer.
