Hematologist specialist. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Lodz. She is the head of the Hematooncology Department with a Day Chemotherapy Subdivision at the M. Kopernik Regional Multispecialty Oncology and Traumatology Center in Lodz. Her main clinical and scientific interests revolve around the therapy of hematopoietic malignancies, in particular chronic myeloid leukemia, BCR-ABL negative myeloproliferative neoplasms and myelodysplastic syndromes. She has authored or co-authored more than 90 scientific articles in the field of hematology, including those published in prestigious hematology and oncology journals including Blood, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Leukemia, Haematologica, British Journal of Haematology, Leukemia and Lymphoma, as well as numerous chapters in hematology textbooks. She is actively involved in the Polish Adult Leukemia Treatment Group (PALG) work, dedicated to scientific research and standardization of hematology practice. She collaborates with the scientific consortia MIRACle (Myeloproliferative dIsorders ReseArch Consortium) and IMPuLSE (International MyelodysPLastic Syndromes rEsearch consortium) for research on congenital myeloproliferative neoplasms and myelodysplastic syndromes, and with the CEMPO (Central European Myeloproliferative Neoplasm Organization) group.
